Warriors top Cavaliers, 59-47

SIBLEY – The Lakeside Warriors were searching for a win to break a seven game losing streak, and Friday night, they got it at home over the Calvary Baptist Academy Cavaliers, 59-47.

Lakeside led 22-18 at halftime. A big third quarter pushed the Lakeside lead to take a 43-31 going to the fourth quarter.

“It was really nice to get a win,” Lakeside head coach Jason Gould said. “This losing streak had been really tough on us. The kids played hard and stuck it out.”

Djimon Lard led the Warriors with 13 points, followed by Jalen Gould with 12 points, Michael Bradford with 12 points and Chase Mitchell and Tyreke Loftin each had seven points.

Next up for Lakeside is a road game at powerhouse Lakeview on Tuesday.
