The Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office is under scrutiny as allegations of nepotism, missing money and inmate abuse have surfaced.

KTBS Channel 3 is reporting the Louisiana State Board of Ethics sent letters to Chief Deputy Bobby Igo Jr. and Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center Warden John Lewis notifying them of the board’s intent to investigate allegations of nepotism.

Both have sons working within the sheriff’s office.

Sheriff Gary Sexton reportedly told the KTBS the nepotism law only applies to him, not those working under him.

  1. neoptism??? In Minden??? get real! Investigate every public organization…it’s been that way for decades…look at the OH Haynes dynasty at the WPSO, or the Williams family at Minden’s schools, or the Mourads at City Hall offices. Not stirring up anything…just stating facts as I saw them. Heck, Daddy Williams was I believe school board superintendent, Mrs. Williams was in the MHS front office, and Butch Williams was a coach and “taught” classes back when I was in HS. At city hall at one time there were two Mourad sisters and the younger sisters’ husband. maybe it was because they couldn’t find anyone better qualified….

  2. Idk about nepotism but I was an inmate when the scrap metal money came up missing I was one of the workers that help tear down the school so yeah but the inmate abuse I witnessed it every other day if not every day in bdcc
