A Homer woman that was reportedly driving in the wrong lane was arrested on multiple charges.

Kimberly Hicks, of the 3500 block of Highway 534, was arrested for careless operation, two counts of no child restraint, driving under suspension and possession of schedule IV drug.

Deputies were dispatched to Highway 160 in Cotton Valley after receiving complaints a woman was driving into oncoming traffic and running cars off the road while a child was hanging out of the window.

When deputies stopped the car, the driver, later identified as Hicks, reportedly stopped the car in the middle of the road and was confused and didn’t know where she was. Hicks also reportedly didn’t know one of her front tires was blown out and she was driving on the rim.

A 4-year-old child was seen standing up in the passenger seat leaning out of the window, according to the arrest affidavit. A 1-month-old was also laying in the back seat and not in a car seat, the report said.

Hicks was taken to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center and booked on the above charges. Its unclear what drugs were reportedly in Hicks possession.
