Alisa Lander lead the ladies finishing fifth in the 1600 with a time of 5:42.61. Kerrigan Zachary placed 22nd in the 1600 at 6:36.56. Finishing 23rd was Essence Anderson at 6:38.75. Taniya Joiner and Egypt Anderson ran the 400 and 800. joiner finished 30th in the 400 at 1:15.59 and was 20th in the 800 at 3:02.39. Anderson was 38th in the 400 at 1:18.67 and was 28th in the 800 at 3:10.38. Kaylee Davis ran a 13:40.13 for 12th in the 3200. Angelina Futch was 17th at 15:02.27. Davis, Futch, Anderson, and Anderson ran the 4×800 meter relay which finished fifth at 12:33.74.
On the men’s side Eric Greene ran a 4:53.71 for ninth in the 1600. Cody Robinson ran 10:48.69 for sixth in the 3200. Tyler Davis took 13th in the race with a 11:19.30. In the 800 Ondray Miles, Logan Bailey, and Braeden Cook finished 13th, 17th, and 25th with times of 2:29.55, 2:32.39, and 2:37.00 respectively. Miles, Bailey, Cook, and Tyler Davis made up the third place 4×800 relay which ran a 9:31.25. Collin Richard ran a 6:04 in the 1600.
Former Lakeside track stars, Enriquee Soto and Chris Lews, began their indoor season with a bang at the LSU Bayou Bengal Invite on Jan. 8. Soto, representing McNeese, won the 3000 meter at 8:57.30 as he defeated 22 other runners. Lewis, running for Meredian Community College, took second in the 60 running an impressive early season time of 6.69. Next year Lewis will be running for LSU.
Lakeside will continue training for the 2016 indoor meet which will be held at LSU in mid-February.
