A Minden man whose body was found last month near Interstate 20 died from an overdose involving multiple narcotics including fentanyl, according to authorities.
Webster Parish Sheriff Jason Parker said an autopsy conducted in Little Rock, Arkansas, determined 52-year-old Kendrick “Ked” Kennon died from the combination of substances.
Kennon was reported missing Saturday, March 30, after he left for work and did not return. His truck was later located abandoned off the shoulder of I-20 near the Dubberly exit.
Search efforts focused on the surrounding area and included the use of drones. Authorities discovered Kennon’s body Tuesday, April 1, in heavy woods and thick underbrush near the westbound lanes of the interstate.
