Bossier Sheriff’s Joint Criminal Apprehension Team arrests Gibsland man for drug and weapon  offenses

On Sunday, August 11th, members of the Bossier Sheriff’s Office Joint Criminal Apprehension Team  (JCAT) arrested a Gibsland man for being in possession of several variants of dangerous narcotics and a  stolen Glock handgun. Stephen Randolph Griffith, 40, was stopped for a traffic violation in the 1900  block of East Texas Street in Bossier City by a JCAT member. A Bossier Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit was  called to the scene and showed a positive odor response for narcotics in Griffith’s vehicle.  

A search of the vehicle turned up 40.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 6 grams of suspected crack  cocaine, 5 capsules containing suspected powder cocaine, 3.1 grams of marijuana, assorted drug  paraphernalia, and a stolen Glock 19 handgun from Arkansas.  

Griffith was arrested and booked into the Bossier Maximum-Security Facility for Possession of Schedule  I Marijuana, 2 counts of Possession of Schedule II with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug  Paraphernalia, Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Illegal Carrying of Weapon with CDS, and two  traffic offenses.  

Griffith’s bond has been set at $70,500.
