Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) hosted a graduation ceremony for the GeauxFAME Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AMT) Program, a unique initiative designed in collaboration with Northwestern State University and leading local industry partners. The GeauxFAME program is part of a broader effort to equip students with the essential skills necessary to succeed in today’s dynamic manufacturing workforce.

Graduate Brennan Lonadier expressed his deep appreciation for the hands-on approach and guidance he received throughout the program. Reflecting on his experience, Lonadier remarked, “Dr. Sapkota is the best; he taught me everything he possibly could.”

AMT instructors Dr. Nabin Sapkota and Dr. Atm Islam commended Lonadier for his dedication, highlighting his strong work ethic and commitment to learning. “He was an excellent student, and we are confident he will achieve great success in his career,” said Dr. Sapkota.

Before completing the program, Lonadier had already received multiple job offers and is now set to begin his professional journey with International Paper. In addition, he plans to continue his education by pursuing further training in Project Management to enhance his skills and future career prospects.

Connie Baker, Senior Director of Human Resources at RoyOMartin and Vice Chair of the local GeauxFAME Chapter, also praised Lonadier, emphasizing the program’s rigorous curriculum and its focus on essential workforce skills such as teamwork, safety, and work ethic. “Brennan’s success exemplifies the GeauxFAME program’s dedication to preparing students to excel in the manufacturing industry,” said Baker.

Joseph Brownlee, Dean of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics at BPCC, echoed the sentiments of pride in Lonadier’s achievements. “BPCC’s GeauxFAME chapter in Natchitoches has been an integral part of our commitment to excellence in workforce development. The Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME) provides the framework for institutions to train the next generation of a global-best workforce through advanced technical training, manufacturing core competencies, professional practices and behaviors, and intentional hands-on experiences to build the future of the modern manufacturing industry. We are beyond proud of Brennan and his accomplishments. I am confident that he will have a long, successful career and will contribute to the economic growth of Louisiana and beyond.”

BPCC remains committed to supporting the local economy by preparing students with the knowledge and practical experience needed to succeed in the industry. The collaboration between educational institutions and industry leaders serves as a model for workforce development across the region.
