Car catches fire south of Doyline

Doyline Fire District was called out Friday to a vehicle fire on Carter Road near La. Hwy. 163 south of Doyline. The vehicle started smoking and then burst into flames from the engine compartment. The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle safely escaped before the car was engulfed in flames. South Bossier Fire District was also on the scene.
