This past Tuesday the students of J.L. Jones Elementary held a Mardi Growth Parade, an event which celebrated the season of Mardi Gras while also allowing students the opportunity to showcase and take pride in the progress that they have made over the course of the school year.
Students each held signs that displayed their particular areas of growth, whether that be mathematics, English, science, etc. Defensive Back for the Kansas City Chiefs, L’Jarius Sneed, came out to participate in the parade and show his support for the students of J.L. Jones and their progression in their education. Alongside Sneed were the Krewe des Ambassadeurs, dressed in vibrant Mardi Gras fashion, helping to bring the spirit of the holiday alive for all the kids to enjoy.
