SPRINGHILL – LifeChurch.La held its 37th annual homecoming, better known as Jesus Fest, this May 27. The event also celebrated the Witt Family’s ministry and their dedication to the Lord’s good works.
Established in Ruston in 1975, LifeChurch.La has since grown to include campuses in Jonesboro and Springhill. Over the years, the Witt family has managed to develop a diverse, non-denominational church that preaches the Word of God to people from all walks of life encouraging them to “do life together.”
“Thirty-Seven years ago, my Dad [Chris Witt] moved to Ruston and took over what was then known as South Parkway Church,” said lead Pastor Dallas Witt. “Three years ago now, my wife Paige and I stepped in to lead roles of the churches, changing the name to LifeChurch.La. And we’re just excited about it — all of it. About the growth of the church. About Jesus!”
LifeChurch.La believes in ministering to the needs of every age group, including their youngest members. While parents enjoy the adult services, they can rest assured that their children are receiving care in a safe and nurturing environment.
While Sunday and Wednesday services are open to everyone, the church stresses that church is so much more than just a weekly service, it’s doing life together. They have created several “Life Groups” that encourage like-minded people to get together outside of normal church hours, doing things that they enjoy and sharing the Word.
“Every weekend, we gather together for life-giving and vibrant worship experiences,” Witt said. “Whatever your age or background, there is something for you at LifeChurch.La. So come and encounter the love of God.”
