Despite winter weather, LifeShare Blood Center is OPEN for donors

by Minden Press-Herald

As the region responds to the winter weather and extreme temperatures, LifeShare Blood Center is open to receive donors.

“LifeShare supplies blood and blood products to over 100 local hospitals; regardless of what is going on outside, patients in our communities still need blood,” says Mandi Johnson, Director of Community Engagement. “We will continue to monitor the road conditions and announce any updates on our social media platforms and website. We intend to operate as normal,” Johnson continues.

Many mobile drives are expected to be canceled today. Community members are urged to safely travel to their nearest donor center to donate. To find a donor center near you, visit: www.lifeshare.org/locations-and-hours.
