Doyline hangs 11 runs on Woodlawn in route

DOYLINE – The Doyline Panthers had a good day at the ball park, shutting out Woodlawn and scoring 11 runs in an impressive 11-0 win.

The Panthers got an outstanding effort on the mound from Cameron Smith and Parker Hearne went 3-4 at the plate with two singles, one double and two RBIs.

Shon Tyler doubled for the Panthers, Jax Gaynor and Nick Burge singles and Smith drove in two runs. All three players also had one RBI.

Smith’s final statline on the mound showed strikeouts, two hits and no earned runs allowed in five innings of work.

The Panthers improve their record to 7-3 ahead of today’s road game with the Red River Bulldogs. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
