A Doyline woman seven and a half months pregnant has been arrested for reportedly trying to help her husband flee police.
Kandis V. Fuller, 29, of the 100 block of Spencer Lane, was arrested by Capt. Robert Hayden and Deputy Wade Wells Friday, Nov. 13, on a warrant by the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office for obstruction of justice. Bond was set at $10,000.
Maj. Dustin Reynolds, with the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office, says when deputies would attempt to arrest her husband, David Scott Fuller, she would give him time to flee before they could initiate the arrest.
“She was keeping them busy at the front door, giving him time to escape through a back window of the residence,” he said.
She was transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center, and during booking, she was given a drug test, Reynolds said.
“Apparently, her behavior was indicative of recent drug use, and they drug tested her,” he said. “She tested positive for methamphetamine. We don’t do this test for every inmate, but when they appear to be under the influence of narcotics, we’ll test them. Then we have an idea of what we’re dealing with and what to watch for, especially if they have medical conditions – and she does.”
According to the police report, she told officers she takes a prescription for Subutex, which Reynolds describes as a drug used to help users with a dependence on other drugs get off of them.
David Fuller is wanted by WPSO on warrants for failure to appear for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a laundry list of traffic charges, unpaid fines and resisting an officer, for a total of eight warrants.
Reynolds says Kandis Fuller is still incarcerated.

They need to prosecute her for child endangerment, child abuse, and attempted murder for doing drugs while she’s pregnant, the low life!
