A probation and parole visit for a Minden woman ended in her arrest on two drug warrants.

Latoria Shakell Iverson, 27, of the 100 block of Dowell Lane, was arrested on two warrants for conspiracy to distribute Schedule II CDS (crack cocaine) with bond totaling $100,000. Later, a probation and parole hold was placed on her with no bond.

Minden Police Chief Steve Cropper says her arrest stems from an undercover narcotics case where warrants were obtained for her arrest. At about 10:49 a.m., Thursday, April 7, Iverson went to her appointment at the Office of Probation and Parole when Captains Dan Weaver and Marvin Garrett, along with Officer First Class Jessie Cutrer, went to the office.

“They went to the office with warrants in their hands,” he said. “They expected her to show up, and located her there. She had a probation and parole hold placed on her after her arrest.”

She was booked at police headquarters and transferred to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
