E.S. Richardson Elementary School hosted a Dr. Seuss-themed book fair on March 6 as part of Webster Parish’s Read Across America celebrations.
Parents and children attended the after-school event, enjoying games, activities, and new books. Attendees tested their knowledge with Dr. Seuss trivia, created pinwheels, and decorated bookmarks.
Students also participated in interactive games, including a musical chairs-style activity and a race to see who could put on a Cat in the Hat costume the fastest before sprinting to the finish line.
The event was one of many literacy-focused activities happening throughout the parish this week.
