Faye Humphrey Lindsay

Memorial services celebrating the life of Faye Humphrey Lindsay were held Monday, February 14 , 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana. Rev. Scotty Gibson will officiate the service.  The family received friends at 10:00 a.m. Monday, prior to the service.

Faye was born February 18, 1939, in Shreveport, Louisiana, and entered into rest February 6,2022, in Bossier City, Louisiana. She was a graduate of Fair Park High School and Ayres Business College. Her careers included being a secretary, and a homemaker. She was a devout Christian who gave of her time singing in the church choir, teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, leading children’s choir, and rocking babies in the church nursery.  She enjoyed spending time with family and delighted in visits with her grandchildren.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Walter C. and Gladys Humphrey; sister Maudine Tucker; brothers Alton Humphrey, John Robert Humphrey, and Clifton Humphrey; and granddaughter, Kati Elizabeth Mourad.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ray Lindsay, Jr., of Benton; son, Ray Lindsay III, Euless, Texas; daughter, Becky Mourad and husband Jeff of Minden; granddaughter Allison Mourad of Bossier City; grandson Nick Mourad of Minden; brothers, Walter Humphrey and wife Odessa; Tommy Humphrey and wife Debbie; sisters-in-law Dot Humphrey and Barbara Humphrey; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Old Brownlee Community Care Center, Pilgrim Manor Nursing Facility, Willow Ridge Nursing Facility, Regional Hospice, and her hospice nurse, Sherri Powell, for their loving care of Faye.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests anyone wishing to remember Faye with a memorial do so to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
