At Westlake, Hadley Hardesty, a 6-foot-5 right-hander, pitched a one-hitter with four strikeouts and four walks.
But Lakeside hung with the Rams for most of the game, tying the score at 2 with two runs in the top of the sixth.
However, Westlake answered with six in the bottom of the frame.
The Rams scored all six runs with two outs. The Warriors were one strike away from getting out of the inning unscathed.
Westlake had six hits in the inning, including three doubles.
Gage Williams had Lakeside’s lone hit. After Brock Case stole third and scored on a balk, Williams’ RBI-single tied it.
