The Minden Crimson Tide and Lakeside Warriors won on the final day of the Bistineau Classic Saturday at Lakeside.
Minden defeated Pine Tree of Longview, Texas, 6-2. After close losses Thursday and Friday, Lakeside rolled past Cedar Creek 9-1.
Elsewhere, Glenbrook dropped a pair of games against defending non-select Division IV state champion Oak Grove on the road 4-1 and 6-1.
At Lakeside, Minden’s Bryson Ranger went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBI. Landyn Huddleston went 2-for-3. Hudson Brown had a double.
Jaxon Smith pitched a complete game. He gave up five hits, struck out six and walked two.
Minden improved to 5-6.
Lakeside’s Hayden Williams went 3-for-3 with two RBI. Drake Chreene went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Peyton Gray and Jon Jon Dick had two hits each.
Gray went five innings for the win. He gave up four hits. Chreene didn’t allow a hit or walk in two innings of relief.
Lakeside improved to 4-7.
At Oak Grove, Easton Sanders allowed only one earned run in five innings in the first game. He struck out four and walked three.
Oak Grove scored all four runs in the first two innings.
Jackson Waller went 2-for-4 with a double in the second game. Ryan Reagan had a hit and drew two walks. Dawson Day had a double.
Glenbrook dropped to 4-6.
