Minden swept Loyola and North Webster swept Lakeside in boys and girls games Tuesday night.
At Loyola, the Crimson Tide won 59-43 and the Lady Tiders won 50-27.
At Lakeside, the Knights won 54-44 and the Lady Knights won 42-26.
At Loyola, Minden trailed 9-0 four minutes into the boys game.
But the Tide got going in the final four minutes of the quarter. Cameron Parker scored seven points and Minden rallied for a 14-13 lead.
The Tide extended the lead to 29-22 at the half. The Flyers cut the lead to five after three quarters.
Five Minden players scored in the fourth as the Tide pulled away. Minden was 8-of-11 from the free throw line in the quarter and Hudson Brown hit his second 3-pointer of the game.
Eight Minden players scored. Parker had a game-high 19 points, including three 3-pointers. Christian Lofton added 11 points.
Minden improved to 10-4, equalling its victory total of last season. Loyola dropped to 5-13.
Brooklyn Jefferson led the Lady Tiders with 15 points. She also had eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks.
Travesti Byrd had 10 points and five assists.
Minden evened its record at 8-8.
The Tide and Lady Tiders both host Booker T. Washington Friday. While Minden and BTW are both members of District 1-4A, they are not a designated district games.
At Lakeside, the North Webster girls extended their winning streak to 11.
Aniya Davis led the Lady Knights with 21 points.
Germaya Harris added seven, Bree Lyons six and Amiyah White five.
North Webster improved to 11-1.
The North Webster boys improved to 4-6 with their third victory in the last four games.
Kedrein Cody led the Knights with 17 points. Avante Curry added 12. Dereon Reese chipped in eight.
The Knights and Lady Knights open District 1-3A play Friday against Richwood at home.
Lakeside travels to Castor Thursday for boys and girls games.
