High school girls basketball: North Webster wins fifth in a row; Minden falls to Airline

The North Webster Lady Knights extended their winning streak to five with a 44-33 victory over North Caddo Tuesday night in Springhill.

Elsewhere, the Minden Lady Tiders fell to Airline 55-48 at Airline.

At North Webster, Aniyah Davis poured in 26 points as the Lady Knights improved to 5-1.

Amiyah White, Germaya Harris and Makiyah White all had four.

North Webster visits Green Oaks Monday.

At Airline, Brooklyn Jefferson led Minden with 18 points and eight rebounds.

Kierra Harrison scored 15.

Travesti Byrd added nine points and four assists.

Minden fell behind by double digits in the second quarter and trailed 30-22 at the half.

The Lady Tiders got within 30-26 with about five minutes left in the third quarter. Airline’s Paige Marshall sank a 3-pointer from the baseline to push the Lady Vikings’ lead back to seven.

Airline led 42-32 at the end of the third. The Lady Vikings led by as many as 15 in the fourth.

Marshall led Airline (7-3) which has won seven in a row, with 19 points.

Minden (3-4) hosts Richwood Thursday.
