High school softball: Doyline edges Loyola

The Doyline Lady Panthers defeated the Loyola College Prep Lady Flyers 14-13 at Doyline Monday.

Loyola tied the game with two runs in the top of the seventh. Doyline then won it.

Karmadie Bartlett reached on an error with two outs. She stole second and advanced to third on defensive indifference. Kanyion Barlett’s single brought her home.

Savannah Stanley went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI. Kanyion Barlett went 2-for-3 with a double. Kaylee Johnson went 2-for-4 with three RBI. Gates went 2-for-4. Arianna Crump had a double and three RBI. Raelynn Pease had a double.

Sariyah Gill went all seven innings in the circle. She struck out eight.

Doyline (1-1) visits Lakeview Tuesday.
