The Lakeside Lady Warriors and Doyline Lady Panthers won non-district games Wednesday.
Lakeside defeated Southwood 17-4 in four innings at Lakeside, and Doyline downed Haynesville 10-6 in eight innings at Haynesville.
Elsewhere, North Webster fell to Sterlington 15-0 in a District 1-3A game at Sterlington.
At Lakeside, Mackenzie McCoy went 3-for-3 with a home run, two doubles and three RBI. Emily Jones also went 3-for-3 with a triple, two doubles and four RBI.
Laiklyn Squyres went 2-for-2 with a double and three RBI. Lexi Wood went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI.
Pitcher Raleah Harris went 2-for-3. Hallie Sutton had a double.
Lakeside (10-15) is scheduled to visit Caddo Magnet Thursday at 5.
At Haynesville, Doyline scored a run in the top of the seventh to send the game into extra innings tied at 6.
The Lady Panthers then put four on the board in the eighth.
Lanie Gates went 4-for-5 with three RBI. Keily Sumlin had three triples and three RBI.
Sariyah Gill and Arianna Crump had two hits each. Karmadie Bartlett had a triple. Savannah Stanley had a double.
Stanley pitched the first two innings. She struck out five and walked one. Gill pitched the final six innings. She allowed six hits, struck out five and walked four.
Doyline improved to 11-7.
At Sterlington, North Webster dropped to 6-9 overall and 2-1 in district. Sterlington, which is No. 1 in the non-select Division III power rankings, improved to 23-1 and 3-0.
North Webster is No. 20. The top 26 teams in the final rankings make the playoffs.
