High school track and field: Glenbrook eighth-grader Clemons fifth in 3,200 in Class 1A boys state meet; Heflin sixth in girls discus

Glenbrook eighth-grader Trent Clemons finished fifth in the Class 1A boys 3,200 Thursday in the LHSAA Outdoor Track and Field State Meet at LSU.

Clemons’ time was 11 minutes, 3.46 seconds. That was about 50 seconds faster than his time in the Region I-1A meet last week. Highland Baptist Christian’s Tyler Blissett won in 9:48.40.

Glenbrook sophomore Ella Heflin finished sixth in the girls discus with a throw of 84-6. Central Catholic’s Addison Griffazzi won with an 125-6.
