Johnny Ray Mims Jr., the son of Johnny Ray Mims Sr. and the late Sheirlon Denise Williams-Mims, passed away on Jan. 3, 2016. Heavenly Gates Funeral Home, located at 1339 Jewel St. in Shreveport is hosting open visitation on Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 from 11 a.m. until closing. The funeral service is Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 at 1 p.m. at New Life Full Gospel House of Worship, located at 7937 Line Avenue in Shreveport. The repast will be held at the CARE Inc. building, located at 7931 Thornhill Ave. in Shreveport. Johnny will be buried at Allen Cemetery on Buddy Brown Road in Minden.
