The KTBS 3 Community Caravan has arrived in Minden for a weeklong spotlight on the city, featuring local attractions, businesses, and community voices.

On Monday, the Caravan kicked off its visit at the Dorcheat Museum and other sites in the downtown area.

Tuesday’s “Tasty Tuesday” segment will highlight El Santito Mexican Restaurant, known for its mix of Latin, Mediterranean, and Mexican cuisine. The restaurant will be featured by KTBS reporter Rick Rowe as part of his weekly food series.

The Germantown Colony Museum is scheduled for Wednesday’s stop, offering viewers a look at one of the region’s most significant historical sites.

Thursday will begin early with a 5:30 AM grilling event on Main Street. Community members are invited to join KTBS at Shug’s for breakfast and ice cream. Plans are also underway to include The Farmer’s Daughter boutique in Thursday’s coverage.

Lunch on Thursday will be held at Orleans on Main Bistreaux, where the public is encouraged to attend and meet KTBS staff. Community members will have the opportunity to share what they love about Minden, with selected comments to be aired during the station’s evening newscasts.

The KTBS 3 Community Caravan takes place monthly in locations across the ArkLaTex, offering viewers a closer look at the people and places that define the region. The effort includes participation from KTBS staff across multiple departments and serves as a way to strengthen connections with local communities.
