Minden’s newest restaurant, La Fogata Steakhouse, is preparing to open its doors on February 9 at 507 Main Street, formerly the location of Habacu’s. Marcos Villegas, partner and manager of La Fogata Steakhouse, brings his expertise from running La Fogata Mexican Grill in Rayville to this new venture.

The restaurant aims to cater to diverse tastes, offering a menu featuring steaks, pork chops, TexMex, hamburgers, and catfish. With something for everyone, La Fogata Steakhouse promises a culinary experience that satisfies various preferences.
Currently in the process of obtaining a liquor license, Villegas and his team anticipate being able to serve alcoholic beverages by mid-February, enhancing the overall dining experience for patrons.
The journey to opening day has been marked by extensive efforts to revitalize the establishment. Over the past four months, Villegas and his team have diligently worked on repairing and remodeling the site. Recognizing the need for improvements, Villegas emphasized the ongoing commitment to enhancing the facility.
Though the work is not yet complete, Villegas shared photos of the progress, highlighting the substantial efforts invested in transforming the space. “We’ve been working really, really hard for four months,” he stated, expressing eagerness to unveil the results to the Minden community.
As La Fogata Steakhouse joins the culinary scene in Minden, locals and visitors alike can look forward to a space offering a diverse dining experience.
