(The Center Square) – Louisiana's National Guard will be restructured into the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, Gov. Jeff Landry said Thursday.
Under Landry's order,

Louisiana National Guardsmen with the 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team fire mortar rounds during their eXportable Combat Training Capability (XCTC) rotation at Camp Shelby in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, May 24, 2024. XCTC is the Army National Guard’s program of record that enables brigade combat teams to achieve the trained platoon readiness necessary to deploy, fight and win battles.
