The Webster Parish Fair Queen Pageant took place the evening of September 28 at the Minden High School auditorium, selecting this year’s representatives for the upcoming Webster Parish Fair. Contestants from four Webster Parish high schools competed for the title, with Lily Herrick of North Webster High School taking home the crown as the 2024 Webster Parish Fair Queen.

The event was emceed by 2023 Webster Parish Fair Queen Kaylin Williams. Eight high school seniors, chosen by their schools based on academic excellence, character, and service, participated in the competition. Representing Doyline High School were Sophia Stuckey and Peyton Handy, from Lakeside High School were Naja White and Mckenzie Chase, from Minden High School were Leigha Gilbert and Caroline Thurman, and from North Webster High School were Kerrianne Allen and Lily Herrick.
Throughout the evening, the contestants competed in interview, fitness, casual wear, and evening gown categories. The People’s Choice Award, determined by donations, raised funds to support the Civitan Santa program, which provides Christmas gifts for local children in need.
In the various categories, the winners were as follows:
- People’s Choice Award: Sophia Stuckey
- Casual Wear Award: Lily Herrick
- Evening Gown Award: Lily Herrick
- Miss Congeniality: Mckenzie Chase
For the title of Fair Queen, Mckenzie Chase was named third runner-up, Caroline Thurman second runner-up, Peyton Handy first runner-up, and Lily Herrick was crowned the 2024 Webster Parish Fair Queen.








The Fair Queen and her court will participate in various fair activities, including riding in the parade on Tuesday, October 1 at 5 PM, handing out awards at the livestock show, and calling bingo on Senior Citizens Day. The Queen will also receive a cash scholarship from the Webster Parish Fair Board and the Minden Civitans Club.
The Webster Parish Fair will open to the public on Tuesday evening for livestock events, with rides opening Wednesday, October 2.
