Lincoln Parish man dies in morning fire

LINCOLN PARISH- State Fire Marshal deputies are investigating a North Louisiana fire that claimed the life of a Simsboro man.

Around 5 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025, Lincoln Parish Fire District 1 responded to a fire in the 900 block of Liberty Hill Road in Simsboro. A 51-year-old man died in the blaze. The fire destroyed the man’s wood-frame home.

Fire investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire. The home did not have a smoke alarm.
