Danyale Lefay Gutierrez, 48, of Lumberton, Texas, was arrested on July 26, following a disturbance on the 600 block of Main Street. Minden police officers responded to the scene where they found Gutierrez, highly intoxicated, engaging in physical altercations at a local tattoo parlor.
Upon arrival, the second responding officer observed Gutierrez resisting the first officer’s attempts to detain her in the middle of the roadway. It required both officers to place her in handcuffs. Gutierrez sustained hand injuries, reportedly from engaging in multiple fights at the establishment.
Witnesses reported that Gutierrez assaulted five customers, though only two were willing to press charges.
“Gutierrez was highly intoxicated, belligerent, and violent while on scene to law enforcement, E.M.S, and her victims still on scene,” the officer reported.
Despite numerous requests from officers, Gutierrez refused to identify herself 26 times. She was eventually identified at the police department.
Gutierrez faces charges including failure to identify, resisting an officer, two counts of simple battery, engaging in a fistic encounter, appearing in an intoxicated state, and obstructing public passageways.
All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
