The Minden Airport has appointed Molly Fowler as the interim airport manager following the departure of the previous management. With a deep-rooted passion for aviation and a vision for the airport’s future, Fowler is poised to lead Minden Airport through an exciting phase of growth and development.
“I was appointed interim airport manager after the previous airport management left. I have worked at Minden Airport for three years, where I was fortunate enough to have a great mentor, Steven Burdeaux, who taught me the ins and outs of how an airport operates,” said Fowler.
Fowler’s career in aviation spans four years, during which she has earned a commercial pilot certificate. “I have been involved in aviation for four years as a pilot, and I hold a commercial pilot certificate. I am also in school for Aviation Management and will graduate in the fall of 2024,” she shared, highlighting her dedication to both the practical and academic facets of the field.
Looking toward the future, Fowler shared some of the projects that Minden Airport is set to embark on. “The airport has a lot of potential for growth and development. Currently, we are working to build more hangars, which will increase the number of aircraft here. I would also like to add a full wildlife fence,” Fowler explained. These developments aim to enhance the airport’s capacity and safety, making it a more attractive destination for aircraft owners to house their planes.
Fowler’s vision extends beyond immediate infrastructure improvements. “My long-term goal is to install more sophisticated approach systems so aircraft can land in less-than-ideal weather conditions,” Fowler stated.
As Fowler steps into her new role, she has outlined her commitment to upgrading the airport’s technological capabilities to ensure safer and more reliable operations. With her blend of experience, education, and a clear vision for progress, Molly Fowler is set to guide Minden Airport to new heights.
