Early Sunday morning the Minden Fire Department responded to a residence on Sullivan Street that was engulfed in flames.
“About 5:40 a.m. upon arrival it was a two-story house fully involved. We were there until 11:30 a.m.,” said Minden Fire Chief Kip Mourad.
Mourad stated that the front walls had collapsed in, and a defensive fire attack was performed to keep the fire at bay.
The building was not occupied, no utilities were connected to the residence either.
No injuries occurred as a result of the fire.
The origins of the fire are still under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
