Minden High JROTC to host 9/11 ceremony

In honor of the lives lost on 11 September 2001, Minden High School’s JROTC program will host their annual 9/11 ceremony on the Southwest end zone of the MHS football field starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 9:340 a.m., Tuesday, September 11th 2018.

“We are honored to have Minden Mayor Tommy Davis as the guest speaker this year,” a press release from event organizers read.

During the ceremony JROTC will raise the flag then lower it to half-staff in remembrance of those who lost their lives on that day.

Additionally, Minden HIgh School JROTC will recognize Minden and Webster Parish first responders during the ceremony.

“MHS JROTC invites all Military, Fire, Police, Paramedics and the public to take part in this day of recognition and remembrance,” the release read.
