A Minden man was arrested after police allegedly found testosterone and an open container in his vehicle.
Preston Lane Cockrell, 22, of the 1400 block of Lewisville Road, was arrested Saturday, May 2, and charged with possession of Schedule III CDS (testosterone), open container, and a warrant through the Minden Police Department. Bond totaled $11,425.
According to reports, Officer Chris Hamontree initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle reportedly driving a vehicle at night without its passenger side headlight.
During the stop, Hammontree noticed the smell of alcoholic impurities on his person, reports indicate, and Cockrell reportedly told the officer he had an open alcoholic container in his vehicle.
Hammontree searched the vehicle and it revealed six syringes and six vials with a yellowish liquid inside. Cockrell allegedly told police it was testosterone. Also found during the search was an open beer can.
Cockrell was arrested and booked on the above charges. He was transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
