On March 11, a Minden man was arrested on an outstanding warrant and drug charges. While patrolling the private property of Minden Motel, an officer observed a black male wearing dark-colored clothing. Upon making eye contact with the male subject, the officer recognized him as Kenyaskey Moore, 39, who had an active felony warrant through the Minden Police Department. Moore attempted to provide a false name, Travski Moore, and a false date of birth. Moore was taken into custody without incident.
During a search of Moore’s person, the officer found a Newport pack containing a clear plastic baggie of suspected methamphetamine and another clear plastic baggie containing suspected crack cocaine. Additionally, a glass pipe with suspected narcotic residue was found in Moore’s hoodie pocket. Moore was then transported to the Minden Police Department and placed into a holding cell.
At the police department, Moore was served a warrant for aggravated battery and received charges for possession of schedule 2 substances (crack cocaine and methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting an officer. He was subsequently transported to the Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
