Minden Pet Mayor Election raises $21,695 for animal control facility

The City of Minden is excited to announce the successful conclusion of its first-ever Pet Mayor Election, a fundraising event that combined fun with philanthropy. An impressive $21,695 was raised to support the construction of the city’s new animal control facility.

The election featured 48 lively and charismatic candidates, each vying for the prestigious pet positions. After the campaign period, the votes have been counted, and the newly-elected pet officials are Maverick as Pet Mayor, Kimber as Chief of Pawlice, BB as Fur Chief, Pet Council Members include Jax, Archie Bullseye Collins, Raglee’, Bubble Ann “Bubbles”, and Tinkerbell “Tink.”

A special Collaring Ceremony to honor these pets will be held at Miller Quarters Park on Thursday, May 30, at 6 PM.

The City of Minden extends its heartfelt gratitude to all candidates, voters, and sponsors who made this event a success. Together, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of our furry companions.
