The Minden Special Response Team (SRT), in collaboration with the Minden Narcotics team, executed a search warrant on the 400 block of Park Avenue early on June 13, 2024. The target of the operation was Deotis Germany, 29, who had five active distribution warrants.
At approximately 6:15 AM, SRT officers breached the residence and detained its occupants, including Germany. During the search, officers discovered a small baggie of ecstasy tablets in the bedroom, a small baggie of marijuana in the living room, another small baggie of marijuana in the kitchen, and a large bag of synthetic marijuana under the kitchen steps.
Germany was transported to the Minden Police Department and placed in a holding cell. He was read his Miranda rights and booked on three warrants for distribution of synthetic marijuana, two warrants for distribution of methamphetamines, and two additional charges: possession of controlled dangerous substance Schedule I synthetic marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of controlled dangerous substance Schedule I ecstasy.
Following the booking, Germany was transported to the Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
