Minden woman accused of stealing $38k from employer

SHREVEPORT — An office manager for a Shreveport aviation company was arrested for allegedly stealing more than $38,000 from her employer.

According to the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, 34-year-old Evelyn Mason of Minden, was taken into custody on Monday by detective Casey Jones.

An investigation by Jones reportedly determined that Mason used her position as office manager of Sky Runner to issue 41 unauthorized checks to herself since August of 2015.

The theft was reportedly discovered during a company audit.

Mason was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for felony theft.
