MMC Rehab Reindeer Run to kick off Christmas in Minden

Minden Medical Center Rehab Services is gearing up for its 11th annual Rehab Reindeer Run, set for Friday, December 6 at 6 PM. The event offers participants an evening run or walk through the Ridgewood neighborhood, showcasing festive Christmas lights along the course.

The race encourages individual runners, as well as teams of coworkers, friends, or family. A special prize will be awarded to the largest team.


Early registration is $30 and is open through November 22. Participants who register by this date will receive a long-sleeve Rehab Reindeer Run T-shirt. After November 22, registration increases to $35. Student registration is $25 at all times. Fees include an IPICO timing system for accurate race tracking. Registration is available at MMC’s Business Office, 346 Homer Rd., Sportspectrum in Shreveport, or online at runsignup.com/Race/LA/Minden/RehabReindeerRun.


The course starts and finishes at MMC Outpatient Physical Therapy, 1120 Homer Rd. It winds through Ridgewood Circle for two loops. Packet pickup is scheduled for Thursday, December 5, from 8 AM to 5 PM, and on race day from 8 AM to 5:30 PM.


Age group awards will be presented to the top male and female runners in divisions ranging from 12 and under to 70 and older. Overall first-place male and female winners will also be recognized. Following the race, participants can enjoy complimentary hot chocolate, fruit, snacks, and food from vendors.
