Funeral Services for Mr. Melvin Carl Jones will take place Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 3:00PM at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. Visitation Hours are Friday 10am-7pm.
On April 5, 1962, a son was born to the late Lee Earl Jones Sr. and Melvina Jones, they named him Melvin Carl Jones. He departed this life Tuesday July 4, 2018.
At an early age he accepted Christ as his personal Savior. He graduated from Minden High school in 1980. He was employed by Ruskin Industry and Tide Craft for a number of years.
He was preceded in death by two sisters Melba Jones and Charlotte Jackson, one brother Everett Jones.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, one daughter Melika Charielle Jones and one son Melvin Carl Jones Jr., both of Longview, Texas. three sister, Sharon Williams (James), Andrea Jackson, and Tammie Jones, two brothers; Lee Earl Jones Jr. (Phyllis), and Robert Earl Jones (Tasha). A host of uncle’s, aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
