Funeral services for Mr. Patrick Wayne “P Love” Lewis will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at Bright Star Baptist Church located at 3330 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport with Pastor Patrick Dennis officiating.
Burial will follow at Doyline Community Cemetery, (Amos Cutoff Road in Doyline) with Heavenly Gates Funeral Home in charge.
Repast will be at Bright Star Baptist Church Gymnasium.
Family hour will be from 6 until 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 30, at Bright Star Baptist Church.
Mr. Lewis was born Dec. 10, 1979, to Melvin Lewis of Minden and Inez Lewis of Shreveport. At an early age Patrick united with Restoration Crusade Church of God In Christ.
After moving to Shreveport, he became a member of Greater Hope Baptist Church. He moved on to Bright Star Baptist Church where he served as an usher.
He was a graduate of Huntington High School.
He was a former employee of Walmart and Cracker Barrel.
He leaves to cherish his memories a very devoted mother, Inez Lewis of Shreveport; father, Melvin Lewis of Minden; one son, Xavier Lewis of Shreveport; sister, Apostle Ingrid Lewis of Houston, Texas; nephew, Desmond Lewis of Houston, Texas; and a host of aunts,
uncles, cousins and friends.
