Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church is inviting the community to join in celebrating its 155th anniversary on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at 2:30 PM. The church, established in 1869, is marking more than a century and a half of service with a special theme, “A Church Growing in Christ,” based on Acts 2:42-47.
The anniversary service will feature guest speaker Pastor Calvin Williams of Springfield Baptist Church in Gibsland, Louisiana. The Springfield Baptist congregation will also be in attendance as the guest church for the occasion.
Pleasant Grove, led by Pastor Terry Combs, is located at 1978 Highway 531 in Minden. The church is known for its welcoming atmosphere and has long embraced the motto “A Growing Church for a Coming Christ,” reflecting its commitment to spiritual growth and community outreach.
Everyone is invited to attend the celebration and enjoy a day of worship, fellowship, and reflection on the church’s enduring legacy in the Minden community.
