Project Reclaim has organized a fun and educational summer program titled “Summer of the Stars” for its participants. The program will run from June 4 through July 25 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with additional activities for junior high and high school students on Wednesdays.
Participants will engage in various projects, including Project Claim TV, where they will gain hands-on experience in TV production and post-production editing for Project Reclaim’s new YouTube channel. Other activities include podcasting, Ascend Math, interactive beam games, and developing leadership and social skills.

“We’re going to have a new twist on it this year,” said Executive Director Ron Anderson. The program will also feature Dr. Joe Bolger, who will teach about the impact of artificial intelligence and computer literacy. Dr. Bolger will bring computers for students to disassemble, allowing them to understand the inner workings of computers and devices.

Project Reclaim, based in Minden, serves youth throughout the parish. It is a leadership academy targeting elementary, middle, junior, and high school students. The main goal is to help participants become the best leaders by learning about leadership, performing well academically, and respecting relationships with others.
