Graveside services for Richard “Rickey” Dean McGowan was held Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. Officiating was be Rev. Bill Crider.
Rickey was born August 25, 1949 in Shreveport, Louisiana and entered into eternal rest, May 4, 2021 in Minden, Louisiana. He was a Master Carpenter and Owner of McGowan Builders. Rickey was an avid fan of the LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Betty McGowan; brothers, (twin) Mickey McGowan and Kenny McGowan; son Garrett McGowan and niece Lori McGowan.
He is survived by his brother, Jeff McGowan; sister-in-law, Frances McGowan; nephews, Jason McGowan, Michael McGowan and wife Karen and Jeff Tuey; great nephew, Johnston McGowan; great niece, Autumn McGowan; and extended family, Bobby and Margaret Evans.
