Cotton Valley, LA — Funeral services for Mr. Robert Woodard, age 70, were held Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at the North Arkansas Street Church of Christ, Springhill, LA, with Mr. Huey Mayfield and Mr. Jerry Savage officiating. Interment followed in the Cotton Valley Cemetery, Cotton Valley, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Mr. Woodard was born on October 25, 1947 to Herbert and Clois Litton Woodard in Shreveport, LA and passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 in Cotton Valley, LA. A graduate of Springhill High School with the class of ‘67, he served as a medic in the U.S. Army. He worked as an operator for Geo Specialty Chemicals for 26 years and retired from Veolia Environmental Services after 14 years of service. He always put God first and served within his church.
He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, and enjoyed Nascar, and LSU Football.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Barbara Savage Woodard; two daughters, Allison Bridges and husband, Beau of North Little Rock, AR, Laci Rodriguez and husband, Bill of Bossier City, LA; five grandsons, Garrett Martin, Brody Borrel, Chip Bridges and wife, BreAnna of Springhill, LA, Noah Rodriguez, Tyler Rodriguez and wife, Kylee of Shreveport, LA; granddaughter, Allie Bridges of Magnolia, AR; great-granddaughter, Faryn Bridges; and two sisters, Linda Dyar of Walker Creek, AR and, Margaret Reisterer and husband, Steve of Staten, OR.
Mr. Woodard was preceded in death by his parents.
