During each session, students experimented with magnets, lasers, instruments, electrical circuits and more. Students were even able to determine the speed of their reaction time as well as their future height. These sixth graders were also given the opportunity to create a human circuit, with somewhat shocking results.
The boys and girls of J.A. Phillips Middle School received a double dose of Science Friday, Jan. 15. They were treated to a visit from Sci-Port, Louisiana’s Science Center, during their regularly scheduled science classes.

The visit from Sci-Port was enjoyed by all and gave students the opportunity to experience science first hand outside of the classroom. The faculty, staff, and sixth graders of J.A. Phillips Middle School wish to extend a huge thank you to Sci-Port for the wonderful chance to see science concepts in a new and exciting way.
