SHONGALOO — A north Webster Parish man is behind bars, charged with six counts of indecent behavior and molestation of juveniles, Webster Parish Sheriff Gary Sexton said Monday.
Sexton said Gary R. Modisette, 68, who lives in the 29200 block of Highway 157 in Shongaloo, was arrested Friday following a brief investigation by sheriff’s investigators.
“Some of his alleged victims came forward with information and we made the arrest at his residence without incident,” Sexton said. “The suspect declined to be interviewed, and we’re continuing our investigation into this case.”
At the time of his arrest, Sexton said Modisette was out on bond from a 2013 arrest for indecent behavior with a juvenile. The sheriff said the suspect also has an arrest in 2011 for a similar crime.

Modisette is being held at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center on bonds totaling $450,000, Sexton said.
Charges against Modisette include three counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile under the age of 13, two counts of molestation of a juvenile under the age of 13 and one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile. Sexton said the six counts involve six different victims.
Sexton said individuals with information on the case are encouraged to call the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office (377-1515) and ask for Det. Scott Tucker or Det. Jennifer Ervin. Information will be considered confidential.

My prayers of 19 years have been answered. I just hate that he was left on the street that long!!
Dam there shouldn’t even be a bond set
It’s about time he was arrested . God will see he gets his right justice !!!
Easy all you man haters. An arrest doesn’t mean guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Police only need probable cause. The complaints get you to probable cause with a judges signature. I don’t know the case specifics but I believe in a man’s innocence until PROVEN guilty.
Glad he’s off the streets. People like that should not have a bond. Keep him in there. That means one more off the streets. Hell yeah
What the
Need a tree and a rope!
Wish Louisiana had the death penalty!
Put me in the jail cell with him, PLEASE.
You Reap What You Sow
They should publicly castrate him and cut his hands off.
i been knowing him for a long time .never thought he would do this ……. he knows what hes doing because this isnt the first time ,,, and hes 68 yrs hes to old to try things with young kids …. if he wanted sex he should have had a woman not a kid.
this isnt the first time or doing it …. 2011 2013 and now .
IM praying for his mom and his kids and grandkids .
It sickens me what has happen. To the family and children that were harmed both emotionally and physically. This man has family to…children, grand children and great grand. Hes a son, brother, cousin and uncle to many who will be directly affected by your comments. Many still live in this small piece of heaven we call Gods Country here close by. Not asking for any compassion for him or his wrong doing but only for his family. They did nothing wrong and did not get the opportunity to choose there family. Consider this before you say such horrific things or wishing for the unthinkable to happen while incarcerated. This family has to live with the fact of what happen right along with the victims, not by there wrong doing or any fault of there own but you could consider them along with the victims. After all there ALL victims! I am praying for all that are affected by this.
Judged guilty b4 trial? What happened to proving all this first??? If something ever happened to me or my child, I would NEVER wait 30 yes to come forward!
30 or 19 years not yes. This machine changes my words!
I know all 6 of the victims!!
WHY DO THEY CONTINUE to allow “these” people gofree?
I’m so sorry, Children! It is not your fault … not one bit!
You’re so welcome, Robin … this is the first thing I’ve ever heard of this … I lived in Winn Parish for a number of years. I’m horrified, yet thrilled Law Enforcement was finally able to get the required evidence. Terrible crimes, especially those such as this … take FOREVER. I am praying they keep him where he melons …. for a VERY LONG TIME!
If he was arrested in 2011 for a “similar incident” I would say that there is a glaring hole in the justice system to let this animal back on the streets… can you say “DUH”???… sad… he’s even more disgusting looking than his crimes…
Sick as fuck…. You will have your day
Then why does Webster Parish keep letting him out to molest again and again…Castrate his ass and this wont happen anymore. Cops, DA, and Judges there all have their priorities messed up.
Shootem!!
Thats old news,,,, they let him out ???? Why? should be no BOND at all. Been happing for a long time.
I am just having a hard time understanding how a accusation means more in this Parish than cold hard evidence. Several years ago a man attempted to sexually assault me & was charged with a misdemeanor !!!! I never even got to go to court …Maybe it was because Webster Parish charged & convicted me of a charge they had absolutely no evidence of. ..I guess in there eyes one blue xanax overrides sexual assault…
