The Christmas shopping season kicked off on Saturday, November 25 with Shop Small Saturday, an event aligned with American Express Small Business Saturday, which invited residents to support the backbone of the community—the small businesses.
There were a number of open houses and sidewalk sales including ACE Hardware, Bellavana Coffee Truck, Grays Jewelry, and It’s Sew Monica. Geaux Fresh offered a brunch experience while the Par Tea Room hosted Breakfast with Santa.
Small businesses are the heartbeat of the Minden community, and Shop Small Saturday was the perfect occasion to show support. Residents who shop at small local businesses make a big impact on the whole community.
