Simply Southern Cottage hosts Point of Grace for inaugural Sips and Songs

by Amber McDown

On June 28, Sara McDaniel of Simply Southern Cottage welcomed Grammy-nominated, Dove Award-winning trio Point of Grace to the Fuller-White House for her inaugural Sips and Songs.

The event included a guided tour of the historic home, featured on the Magnolia Network’s “In with the Old.” Guests enjoyed snacks and drinks while hearing stories about the home’s past and the recent remodeling. The evening culminated with a private concert by Point of Grace on the third floor, in a room rumored to have been a speakeasy during the Prohibition era.

Point of Grace is an all-female contemporary Christian music vocal group consisting of Shelley Breen, Denise Jones, and Leigh Cappillino. The group, which started as a quartet in 1991, has gained acclaim for their harmonious sound and inspirational music.

“We’re in Minden with our new circle of friends, and we’re so excited about it,” said Shelley Breen of Point of Grace.

Attendees had a wonderful time, making the event a resounding success.
