A Springhill man was arrested early Thursday after allegedly breaking into a woman’s home, assaulting her, and taking her vehicle without permission, according to law enforcement.
Webster Parish Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call just after midnight on March 20 in the 100 block of Red Bud Lane. The complainant reported that Cartavious Webb, 26, entered her residence, pushed her down a hallway, and then loaded items into her vehicle. Webb allegedly returned inside, choked the woman while she was seated in the living room, and then left in her vehicle.
Deputies later located Webb at an address on Cobb Street with the woman’s vehicle. A witness reported seeing Webb enter the residence and hearing a struggle as he and the woman moved down the hallway.
Webb was read his rights under Miranda and transported to BDCC for booking on charges of home invasion, domestic abuse battery, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
